February Social 2026

An enjoyable evening was had at our February social.

The evening started with a few quizzes around the theme of Valentines Day.

Our menu included Chicken Cobbler, Vegetable Lasagne, roast potatoes and peas.  Followed by the obligitary fruit pavlova! Mascarpone and Lemon Berry Tarts or Fruit Salad. Once all were served, there was plenty for seconds- so most had the opportunity to try all.

After a cup of tea we then had the task of making a chinese dragon on each table using the same materials. Everyone entered into the activity well and I think from the photos you can see that they were very successful and all brilliant.

We finished with a reminder of God’s love to us and singing the chorus ‘Jesus’ love is very wonderful’ bringing back memories for many of singing it in Sunday School and waiting for the lines- ‘So wide’ so you can stretch out your arms and lightly tap the person next to you!

As always it was a joint effort with so many people from the fellowship helping with decorating the hall, laying the tables, cooking the food and washing up.

We hold the socials throughout the year and the next one is our Fish and Chip Easter Social on Easter Saturday at 6pm.

We take up a voluntary offering and any money left after the ingredients are paid for is given to the local homeless charity HARP.
