Jesus And Me (J.A.M) and Youth Group

Children aged 5yr upwards are very welcome. Our Youth Group for senior school pupils meets at the same time. We begin in Church and join in the singing and listening to a short story with the rest of the Church family. Back in the Hall, both groups enjoy stories, games, quizzes and art/craft and finally join together for singing and prayer before the morning ends.

We have a minibus that is available to collect and return children home at the end of the morning.

During the year we have different activities.  In July we have two special occasions- our J.A.M Anniversary and a Family Outing day. In December we have our Christmas Celebrations.

New children and young people are always welcome to come and join us, do pop along any Sunday – you are guaranteed a warm welcome.

We meet every Friday at 6:30 pm in term time at Great Wakering Evangelical Church.

During the evening we play games, do crafts, listen to a Bible story, enjoy refreshments and work towards badges.  Throughout the year we support a variety of charities eg Children in Need, Jeans for Genes & Christian Aid, and we raise money through a range of fun activities.  Each Spring the girls have created scarecrows, which have been on display at RHS Hyde Hall.

We also join with other local groups for our annual trip to Chessington, sleepovers and craft afternoons as well as representing Girls’ Brigade at Trooping the Colour.

Our subs are £2.00 per week, which cover activities and GB insurance.

Our uniform is a polo shirt, the colour of which is determined by the age group, with black trousers or leggings and a navy sweatshirt or hoodie.

For further information please contact Mrs Christine Lawrence, Captain.
